      Are you a Fire Door Engineer looking for a great opportunity? This is a unique opportunity to work in-house for an established Build to Rent developer with several UK developments and around 2000 units this role will keep you busy all year round. You will use your experience to lead and contribute within the team and drive compliance and safety standards.

      Aswell as being FDIS accredited (or similar) you will need to have the ability to complete minor repairs such as spacing adjustments, seal replacements and be able to use minor hand tools.

      Salary: £45,000 Per Annum + Bonus

      Work Pattern: Monday to Friday

      Location: London(Occasional travel within the UK – expenses paid)

      Key responsibilities:

      • Complete the annual Fire Door surveys on each development, preparing condition report to flag compliance or safety issues and keep a accurate record of all inspections and repairs.
      • Check all door hardware, seals and frames to ensure they meet compliance standards as well doors and frames meet the required standards: Carpentry experience will be required.
      • Complete quarterly inspections for heavy traffic doors. 
      • Replace door sets, frames and hardware as required.
      • Train and educate the on-site maintenance teams to assist in future inspections.
      • Willing to travel Nationwide to developments, as required. Travel to sites outside of London is expensed.

      Skills and Experience:

      • FDIS Accredited, or equivalent.
      • Experience as a Fire Door inspector.
      • Experience in repairing/ replacing fire door sets, frames and hardware, in line with required standards.
      • NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in carpentry and joinery (desirable).
      • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Joinery for Fire door installers or other relevant trade, or equivalent level of competence obtained from on-the-job experience (desirable).
